Standalone ES Steering Wheel

Excellent piece of equipment for the price, the wheels worked flawlessly

The standard wheels isn't bad but when you at the larger wheel mod it tends to flex ALOT if you've got the ffb turned up at all. Nice wheel and great value but not the sturdiest wheel.

Great steering wheel really enjoying it. I purchased R9 wheelbase and CRP pedal set from my local Micro Center Ive had no problems or issues. The software was really easy to learn. Ive had a lot of fun with the sim set up.

Bought this with the R12 because I wanted a round wheel for ovals and rallycross, and this was the most budget friendly. Construction feels great, just enough buttons for most cars, and the thickness of the rim feels great in the hands. If you're on a budget, I can't recommend this rim enough, and if you want closer to GT style, you can always grab the formula mod!

Great addition to R9 base for oval racing (where GS wheel did not quite feel right). "Squishy" shifters feel crisper and more responsive with aftermarket magnetic modification.

Feels good. Very satisfying clunk when pushing onto wheel base. Zero play at the joint.

It should be offered with the Formula rim as a standalone version, so people that bought the R5 Bundle can buy it and not have an extra rim with no purpose.

All in all, the wheel feels fantastic - it feels very high quality in hand, nicely weighted and the quick release is great. Feels very automotive grade.

Its only downside is the shifter paddles, which are very easy to press which can result in mis-inputs, and also at the same time do not register shifts on some occasions (you hear the 'click' but no shift is detected in game).

Aluminium paddles mean that a magnetic shifter solution is not possible.

If a V2 version is ever released, I would highly recommend looking into having a bit more resistance on the paddles - otherwise it's a fantastic wheel for the price.
